Last Spring, we launched a GoFundMe campaign in order to keep our business alive. The generous contributions of hundreds of friends and neighbors enabled us to support our workers during the COVID shut-down and eventually to reopen with outdoor dining and take-out service. Without these crucial donations—and the continued patronage of our loyal followers—we would not have made it through 2020. Thank you, everyone, for your love and support! We have always been a cash only restaurant but since the COVID crisis began, we have been accepting credit cards due to the demand for contact-less transactions. We still prefer cash (and we have an ATM on the premises for your convenience) as it save us the 2–4% transaction fee charged by credit card companies. This amounts to a substantial sum for a small business such as ours. A cash-only policy allows us to pass on savings to our customers and to donate to good causes, such as our neighborhood nonprofits, ACLU, and Planned Parenthood. Guests may use credit cards, but we apologize in advance for charging an additional 3% convenience fee.
